Online Discussions in Higher Education

Instructors are overwhelmed. They are learning new tools, taking on extra courses, working with students to understand new processes and technology, all while designing their courses to accommodate for today’s needs. But it has never been more clear that connecting with students and helping to create a community is essential for a student’s success. One of the key ways that this is done is through online discussions.

To understand more about the landscape of online discussions and some of the challenges, a Pulse Survey specific to the topic was developed. More than 350 educators responded and shared their experience, insights, and challenges.
